leather... hmm... color the whole leather black, then add some white streaks on where the lightis coming from..... xD

if you want it to have a leathery texture, find a photo of some leather, select the areas you want to be leathery, import the picture into this area on photoshop and play with the blending modes (multiply usually works best) and opacity

I haven't done much with leather, but maybe this tutorial can help [link] . Its pretty much a texture overlay & opacity change.
